Three People I Look Up to
Someone in my
life that inspires me is my elder cousin, who has a very strong social skill,
which I admire. My elder cousin studied university in Guangzhou. While she was
still in the university, she was a famous student. Her friends even said that “You
have might not heard of a professor in a institute, but you have definitely heard
of her.” And that’s true because my elder cousin was the leader of several students’
organization, and the originator of a student movement. Besides, she can also
make new friends in just ten minutes. When my elder cousin finished her study
in Guangzhou, she wanted to study in an academic program in Hongkong. Unfortunately,
her English was not very good, which was a disadvantage of her application for
the further study in Hongkong. However, she happened to know that the person in
charge of this academic program came from Guangzhou, who can only spoke
Cantonese and English. And because my cousin had lived in Guangzhou for four
years, she could speak Cantonese fluently and knew the hometown of the person
in charge very well, thus she got the chance to study in Hongkong.

Someone living
and famous that inspires me is Tom Ford, who is a successful fashion designer and
a good film designer as well and I admire his diverse talents. He is not a best
fashion designer and is not even as good as Marc Jacobs. However, he is still a
successful fashion designer and an invisible CEO of Gucci as well. His talent
of design and skill of operating company pulled back Gucci from the edge of
bankruptcy. Besides, his first film “A
single man” is also a reason why I admire him. This film, which has won
several prized worldwide, also reflected the elegant taste of music, clothes,
and life. I hope I can be as diversely talented as Tom Ford, and live a high
quality life just like him.

A great leader or
thinker from the past that inspires me is Beethoven, a famous classical music
composer and pianist from Germany. He lived a rough life: he was born in a poor
family, whose father cared about nothing but alcohol; at age of 8, he was sent
on concert tour by his father, who wanted to make him another Mozart; at age of
26, his hearing became more and more weak, and finally became completely deaf
at middle age. However, he still composed many famous music pieces, such as The
Third Symphony, and The Ninth Symphony, though his hearing was very weak. His
perseverance of fighting against destiny inspires me.

Matchstick Men------Lie In a Lie
(http://www.wallpapergate.com/wallpaper12688.html)
Matchstick Men, which is another term of scam artist, refers to a group of people that earn money by cheating poor and even disable people. A good matchstick man can make people trust him or her, though he or she only has a box of matchsticks in hands. This 2003-released movie, mainly focus on a matchstick man named Roy Waller, who actually called himself con artist. This film has been considered as the best and most intelligent work that the director Ridley Scott and the famous actor Nicolas Cage delivered these years.
Roy Waller, a successful matchstick man, with
plenty of money in the bank, works with his partner as well as his apprentice Frank Mercer and operate a fake lottery, selling
overpriced water filtration systems to unsuspecting customers. Although Roy is
quite successful in his career, his personal life is awful and lonely. All he
has is atoy dog filled with money. He suffers from several mental
disorders since he divorced with his ex-wife, who was pregnant at that time. Roy
knows that he has a 14-year-old girl, Angela, with his ex-wife from his doctor Harris
Klein by chance. This unexpected daughter changes Roy’s life totally. Angela’s
energy and forgiveness even cures Roy’s mental illness in some ways. Roy thus agrees
to work with Frank on a long-term target, a wealthy businessman named Chunk Frechette.
Roy knows that he’s going to make a big money from Chunk. However, what he doesn’t
know is that he is not the real operator of this game.
For me, Nicolas Cage is definitely
the best actor in this film. His camelback, blinking eyes, twitching mouth, habit
of counting one two three before opening a door or a window, and even the habit
of saying ‘AH, AH’ when he’s nervous, make this film funnier as well as the character
Roy more round and interesting. Besides, the actress who plays for Alison
Lohman also did a good job in this film. From what I’ve learned from the
internet, she was almost 25 years old when she’s playing the role of Angela, a
14-year-old teenager. However, I can hardly know that this actress was already
25 years old from the innocence and rebellions on her face. Her good acting skills made this character as natural as possible.
This is a very good film
with a funny beginning, a twisty plot, and a touching ending. Among all these
good scenes, the ending of this film makes me really impressive. Roy doesn’t
expect that the failure of his fraud towards Chunk means a success of another
fraud, in which he is the victim. When he finally realizes, his so-called daughter,
the death of Chunk, the fake investigator, and even his doctor are all part of
a lie, he rushes out of the fake hospital to find Angela, though he is still
very dizzy after being hurting by Chunk. The unbelievable expression and the
sweat on his face made me really impressive. I have to admit that I was very
frustrated at that time to see a mid-aged man lost a daughter that never
exists. I hope this is not a lie, or a lie that never be discovered, so that
Angela and Roy can be father and daughter forever. But when I saw the ending of
the film that Roy finally lives a right life as everybody else does, I thought
this fraud which might makes one lose everything might not be a totally bad thing for Roy.
At least he makes money by his own effort, instead of cheating; he has his own
kid with his beloved wife; he starts eating different kinds of food rather
than Tuna only. For Roy, this fraud, which makes him lose everything, is
actually a rebirth for him.
Besides, there are also
lots of details in this film that make this film even better. For example,
before Roy and Angela’s first meet, Roy smokes a lot, just like other mental
illness patients. What’s even worse is that Roy smokes in his car with all the
doors and windows shut, because he hates outdoors but ever since Roy meets
Angela, the window in his car opened a bit by bit.
This is a good film in general for all groups
of people, and it’s a very good movie for a family to sit in front of the TV and enjoy it together.

Ferris Beuller’s Day Off ----In the mood VS. Walking the line
(http://collider.com/ferris-bueller-super-bowl-ad-matthew-broderick/141378/)
I guess
everyone who was or is a student has thought of skipping school and might had a
detailed plan in the mind. However, most of the students flinch because of the
school rules and their parents’ chatter. No matter how friendly you are; how
good your grades are, once you skip the school on purpose and is caught by the
dean of the student, you are labeled to bad student. This blockbuster film ‘Ferris
Beuller’s Day Off’, which was released in 1986, talks about this common, but
serious problem, using a black-humor way.
The film
follows the high school student Ferris Beuller, who wants to skip school by
pretending ill and go for a day trip to the downtown area of Chicago. He and
his best friend Cameron Frye make a phoney phone call to their dean of the
student Edward Rooney to pick Ferris’ girlfriend up at school. They
successfully avoid the chasing of Mr. Rooney, the doubt of Ferris ‘parents, and
even Ferris’ sister Jeanie, who knows everything from the beginning. They drive
Cameron’s father’s prized 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California and travel around
Chicago. They visit the Sears Tower, the Art Institution of Chicago. They even
join in the Von Steuben Day Parade. They all have joyful and meaningful day.
Personally,
I think Alan Ruck, the actor who cast Cameron Frye did a really good job.
According to the information online, he was 29 years old when he was playing
the role of the 17-year old high school student Cameron Frye. However, his good
acting skill filled in the gap of 12 years and made the character Cameron as
natural, and funny as possible. His humorous imitation of Mr. Peterson and his
long face make him the best actor for the role Cameron, which brought him big
success. On the other hand, the actress, Mia Sara seemed to be relatively
ordinary compared with other actors and actress in this film. I can remember
her good looking but not her performance after watching this movie.
This is a
fantastic film with many highlights and good scenes. Above all, one of the
scenes in this movie that makes me very impressive is that when Cameron finally
decides to stand up and face his father and the fear inside his heart. He
starts kicking his father’s loved car as if is he is releasing his anger and pressure.
Finally, when he kills his dad’s car by pushing it down from the second floor,
nobody feels sad or unlucky for Cameron because his father might get blow up. On
the contrary, everyone feels happy and excited for his courage. Besides, the
director of the film John Hughes broke the fourth wall by letting Ferris speak
to the audience directly to explain his thoughts, ideas and communicate with
the audience. Even at the end of the film, Ferris comes out from the bathroom,
and says this is the end of the movie, which makes this movie even funnier. In
addition to the those humorous characters such as Ferris Beuller and Cameron
Frye, there are also some small parts in this movie such as the history teacher
and Mr. Rooney’s assistant , which are not that important as the leading roles,
but still make me laugh.
Apparently,
the contrast between Ferris and Cameron is the main clue of the film. At the
beginning of the film, Cameron lies on the bed straightly with blanket wrapped
up tightly, saying ‘I’m dying…’ It seems like if Ferris doesn’t force him to
get up he will do nothing but just stare at the ceiling. Before he leaves home,
he is worried and hesitated. However, when he goes to downtown with Ferris, he
is still nervous. Even during the Von Steuben parade, when Ferris is singing
and dancing happily with the crowd on the stage, Cameron is still worrying about
his father’s car. Cameron is always worrying about something and afraid of
something. He cannot be as released and free as Ferris when it’s the time for
him to enjoy his life. Actually, in real life, most of the people cannot enjoy
their life, because we are always distracted by different problems in our life,
which makes us a little bit Cameron.
All in
all, this is a good film for nearly all groups of people, and I strongly
recommend this film to teenagers and
young adults for its theme: Life moves fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a
while, you are gonna miss it. For many times, I was surprised by this movie,
for example, when Ferris gives Cameron’s father’s prized car to the car park
attendant, who drives this car directly out of the parking lot, I thought it’s
going to be a film that talks about how they find the car back. It’s a good
movie in all aspects, and you will never regret watching it.

An experience that changed me
My aunt is a successful fashion designer
and professor in Beijing. Just as most artists, she has a strange personality
and temper in some ways. When I was still young, about five or six years old,
she spent most her time studying in Hong Kong. Though she came back to China
once a year and always bought me little presents from Hong Kong, I still felt
unfamiliar with her and far away from her. My aunt finishing her studies in
Hong Kong, came back to China in 2004, and lived in our house with her
boyfriend for almost two years. My mom said that I was friendly and kind to
everyone, except my aunt. We argued about trivial things such as shutting the
door or turning off the lights. Things became better after my aunt has her son.
We didn’t quarrel over small matters that often, but I had to admit that I disagree
with the way my aunt educated her son. She always tried to find excuses for her
son’s behavior, which made him very naughty.
However, last Monday, I was in class when
my friend sent me a message and said that there was possibly to be an
earthquake in my home city at about 4 am. I was so worried that I phoned my
parents immediately, but their cellphones had been turned off. I turned on my
skype and found that my aunt was still on-line. I sent her a message, asked her
to help me to wake up my parents as there might be an earthquake in Beijing. My
aunt tried to comfort me and made a phone call to my home without hesitation. However,
there was still no response at my home, though my aunt had made phone calls to
my home continuously for about half an hour. I was even more anxious, thinking
about what might have happened. My aunt comforted me again and
(source:http://www.stemtechnews.com/

again and said
that she would keep on phoning my parents until somebody answered, even though
it was already two am in Beijing. I was really thankful when I didn’t know what
to do, but there was still someone, who tried her best to help me, and that
person was my aunt, who I had always argued with. I said ‘thank you’ to her,
but she said ‘Come on, I’m your aunt!’
My aunt didn’t go to bed until seven am
when my dad finally got up and answered the phone. I was really thankful to
what she had done for me, but at the same time I felt guilty because of my
previous attitude toward her.

Nature Blog
We went to the Mystic Vale for the last two
classes, which was right next to our campus. This is a peaceful and quiet place
with various kinds of trees and bushes everywhere.
Though the path was a little
bit muddy after a light rain, I can always smelt the fresh fragrant of the
grass and the trees. We saw the maple trees there which were very different
from the maple trees in Beijing. The maple trees here were much thinner and
taller. We went through a wooden bridge, which squeaked as I stepped on it.
Above
the crystal-clear river, there was an owl nest on the top of a maple tree. That
was the first time for me to see owls with my own eyes. The owl parents stood
on the branch next to their nest, taking a nap. Inside their nest, a little grey
furry ball was moving clumsily---- it was the baby owl’s first flight. The forest
seemed to be even more peaceful and mysterious with the hoot of the owls. We sat
on a long log with green, slippery moss to watch the baby owl’s first flight.
Though
the baby owl didn’t actually come out from the bird nest, it was still a big
fun to explore a new place, such as Mystic Vale.
1. In te quiet forest,
two black owls hoot on the tree, sounds like calling 'who'.
2. Leaves float on the pool,
which reflects the light-blue sky,
clear as a mirror.

One Day In Vancouver
We went to Vancouver for a 2-day trip last
week, and we had a great time there. It was a busy trip from the beginning. To
catch the ferry to Vancouver that left at 9:00 in the morning, I got up at 6:00,
which was a really tough task for me. As soon as I got on the ferry, I went to
take pictures around the ferry with my friends. For me, staying on a ferry is
always very strange and exciting. Unlike sitting on an airplane, sitting on a
ferry is just like sitting in a moving room or a moving hotel. We stood on the
deck of the ferry and took pictures of each other and the good view of the
crystal-clear ocean, which reminded me of the movie The Titanic, though this ferry was not as big and luxurious as the
Titanic.
We arrived at the hotel in Vancouver at
about 12:00. To my surprise, it was a fancy hotel. Another 2 of my friends and I
lived in a same hotel room with a clean washroom, a living room with a small
but useful kitchen in the corner, and a bed room with a large window on one
side of the room.
We set off for the shopping center in the
downtown area, as soon as we deposited our luggage in the room. I took many
pictures of the buildings, trees along the street, and fancy shops on the way
to the shopping center. I found that Vancouver was relatively similar to my home
city, compared with Victoria, which is the city I study in. there were more
rushing cars on the road, more tall apartments and shops that wouldn’t close
until midnight, and even more passengers on the pavements. Both my friends and I
bought a lot of clothes and shoes in the shopping mall. One of my friends even
spent more than 300 dollars in H&M. We walked along the pavements in Vancouver,
explored one and another interesting places with only a large map
in hand. It seemed to be very tired and boring to walk under the glazing
sunshine, but it was still a piece of memory that I will always remember. At
about 1:00 in the afternoon, we had lunch in a Thai restaurant with many exotic
decorations in every corner of the restaurant where we enjoyed our delicious
meal.
When we finally got back to the hotel after
watching the movie The Avengers, we
were all very exhausted. We went to bed as soon as possible and finished our
first day in Vancouver, where we has a great time and a wonderful memory.

Something that makes me upset
The one thing that makes me upset is when
my close friends suddenly get angry with me, and don’t tell me why are they so
annoyed. This makes me very confused and worried and might even mess my daily
life up.

I remember when I was in elementary school,
I had a really close friend. We spent our weekends together; we went to school
together every day; we even shared our lunch together. However, one day after
school, I came up and asked her to go to the garden to do homework. To my
surprise, she didn’t answer me with her brisk voice as usual, instead of that
she glanced me with no expression on her face. I was stunned for a moment,
thinking that she didn’t hear my words. I asked her again and this time she
replied me coldly ‘Don’t do that again!’ I was very puzzled at that moment, and
kept on asking her ‘What’s wrong? What did I do?’ But she just walked away
directly, leaving me alone in the classroom. Fir nearly one month, whatever I
said or did, she ignored me. No matter how hard I tried to make her happy, she
seemed impossible to forgive me. If she told me her reason for isolating me, U
can still try to correct it and apologized to her. However she didn’t want to
talk to me at all, which made me very upset and confused, especially when she
was chatting happily with others.
Anyhow, she started talking to me one month
later, and several weeks later, everything seemed to be back to normal. We are
still good friends now, hanging out for shopping sometimes, but I still can’t
figure out why she was so annoyed to me at that time.(http://www.misscourey.com/2011/07/whats-real-friend.html)

The most important thing in my life
Personally, I think travel is the most important
thing in my life. It has significant meanings for me and I always benefit from
it.
Traveling to different places in the world
on my won has always been my dream since I was in elementary school. Sometimes
I get really tired of my daily life. Meeting the same types of people every day,
doing the same kinds of things everyday makes me feel bored. By traveling to a
new place, I can start a new life, which offers me an opportunity to meet new
friends and to experience new things. The completely new environment gives me a
great chance to change myself, when everyone doesn’t know me well.
Besides, traveling to a new place can help me
realize what is truly important. It offers me a different point of view,
through which I can see what other people’s life is, and find out something important.
In addition, we can read about the outside
world in newspapers, magazines, television and even the internet, but it’s
different to know these places by visiting them than to know them by public
media. Because traveling itself is full of pleasant surprises. You can
experience a completely different culture while you’re visiting to another
country and widen your horizon at the same time.
Finally, traveling is a good way to relax.
The historical monuments, the crystal clear waterfalls, the elegant temples and
the breath-taking mountains, which stand as the personification of beauties can
help me release the pressure form studying and daily life.
For these reasons, I think travel is the
most important thing in my life.

Fear Blog------ Haunted house
My friends always said that I’m a contradictory person. Since I was quite young, I’m always afraid of ghost, darkness and scary things such as horror movies. However, these scary stuffs seem to be very appealing to me. For example, I can’t sleep well after watching a horror film, but several days later I can’t help myself to click on the ‘download’ button to watch another horror movie.
es-night-scene-haunted-house-image16420464)
( http://www.2kgames.com/thedarkness/ )That’s why I chose to visit a haunted house on my fourteenth birthday, though I knew I wouldn’t sleep well that night. There were five of us went to the haunted house, my elder sister, my elder brother, and two of my sister’s friends and me. Before we entered the haunted house, we tried to comfort ourselves. However, I still can’t help myself from shaking when I stepped into the entrance of the haunted house. The room was filled with darkness and silence. I could hardly see the path in the room. There were gruesome things everywhere in the room to pop out and scare the visitors. We walked through all of these terrible and disgusting things hanging down from the ceiling as fast as we could. All of a sudden, the noisy room was back to silence, which made me even more terrified. We walked alone the curving path and entered another empty room with only a coffin placed in the center of the room. As soon as we stepped into the room, the door behind us shut and locked. The only exit in the room was on the other side of the room, behind the coffin. As we ran towards the exit, there were about four or five mummy-like people, wrapped with muslin, climbing out of the coffin and started chasing us.
Anyway, we got out of the haunted house finally. But since then, I feel terrified and nervous whenever I’m walking alone in the darkness.

Zodiac sign----Sagittarius
I was born in December the sixteenth. According to my birth date, I'm a Sagittarius.
As the characters list under Sagittarius, I am sort of impatient. In most of the situations, if my classmate is confused about his assignment and is asking why, I would not be the one to say that I know what is the assignment. If I have some problems, I would go and ask why but I’m not a good explainer.
Besides, I am very compassionate. I remember that my dad kept a dog in his factory whose name was Lulu. She was and energetic dog how enjoyed chasing little animals such as rabbits and cats. However, she seemed to become more and more depressed since all her 26 puppies died because of illness or accidents. Last year, Lulu died of cancer and that really made me feel very upset.
I am also an open-minded person as the Zodiac Horoscope says. My friends would like to tell me their secrets that they won’t tell their parents or anyone else. For example, they didn’t pass the examination last time, or they had a quarrel with their parents last night. Because I’m open-minded, I can always listen to my friends’ secrets without any bias.
However, I am not always very restless as the zodiac horoscope predicts. If I have a lot of homework to do, I would like to work for an hour or so and pause to have a rest. Continuous working for a long time without rest until I finish my work will make me feel very tired. Besides, it may take me much more time to finish it.
I’m not at all imaginative. I would like to take actions as soon as possible rather than dreaming about good things all day long which can’t become true. On the contrary, I would like to set short-term goals that I can reach in a certain period of time.

The greatest scientific invention
Personally, I think the motion pictures are the greatest scientific invention. The motion picture is a series of still or moving images that is captured by camera or created by animation techniques. A motion picture may be made up of several individual images and when these pictures are shown continuously at a moderate speed, the motion of a subject occurs.
Eadweard Muybridge, a photographer from Britain, who spent most of his time in the USA, made this discovery in 1878. He used 24 cameras to capture a series of images of a galloping horse. These images were printed out on separate papers which attached to a drum in a viewing machine. The viewer needed to look into this viewing machine and turned the drum by a hand crank. Meanwhile, the pictures would be shown at a changeable speed, therefore, motion picture occurred.
There are several reasons why I think this scientific invention is so important. First of all, it is an unique form of art which combines literature, drama, music, dance with sculpture, photography and even computer techniques. Secondly, it is also an industry needs cooperation. Therefore, the prosperity of motion picture, promoted the developments of several, relevant industries, including the operation and management of motion picture, computer technology, tourism and so on. On the other hand, it also combines the sense of hearing and sight which make motion pictures acceptable to people all over the world. Besides, motion pictures reflects the human civilization and affects it at the same time. For these reasons, motion pictures are the greatest scientific invention.

Get Smart
In this film, the organization KAOS threated the government with nuclear weapon. There are many good agents in the secret American intelligence agency CONTROL, but for some reasons, the chief of CONTROL could only sent Agent 86, which was a freshman. Agent 86 worked together with Agent 99 to fight against KAOS and save the world.
This is a very funny movie combined the most imaginative equipments and weapons, and this is why I like this movie. The best scene that I like in this movie is the end of the movie: Max, Agent 99 and the Chief got to the concert hall and stop the bomb.) It makes me really impressed.
There are four important events that I write down while I was watching the film.
1. CONTROL was attacked by the organization
KAOS.
2. Max was promoted by the Chief of CONTROL.
3. Agent 99 and Max worked together to fight against
KAOS.
4. Agent 23 betrayed CONTROL.
I think this is a good film for teenagers because of its funny actions while teenagers can still learn something by watching this movie. For example,
everyone can be successful,
if he or she trusts himself or herself.

My Favorite Movie
My favorite movie is Shutter Island. This is a 2010 American psychological thriller film which is directed by Martin Scorsese and is based on Dennis Lehane’s novel Shutter Island. The main actors of that movie are Leonardo Wilelm Dicaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingse.
-film-
-novel-
In 1954, marshal Teddy Danniels and his new partner Chunk Aule arrived at Shutter Island, which is located in Boston, and accessed by ferry. They came to investigate the disappearance of patient who lives in the Ashechliffe Hospital. Teddy suspected Dr. John Cawley used his patients for doing biological experiments and wanted to reveal the fact that the US government uses patients for biological experiments. He also told his patner Chuck that his main purpose of his travel to Shutter Island was to find out Andrew Laeddis who murdered his wife.
The best scene in this film is when Teddy heard the “truth” from Dr . John Cawley. The unbelievable expression and the sweat on his face, with a trembling voice came out from his throat which made me very impressed. Leonardo’s perfect acting expressed the character’s feeling very well.
I like this film for two reasons. Firstly, it is a film that needs you to think over it to understand it, because this film this film contains two totally opposite endings. It forces you to think over all the details in the movie with the main characters, instead of just watching the characters in the film. Another reason is that Leonardo’s wonderful acting skill caught my attention throughout the entire
film.

comfortable, and enjoyable life style. Provence seems like a combination of quiet and excitement. The genial warm wind, open plains, quiet valleys and mysterious castles all make you fell very peaceful. Especially when all the lavender blooms, it makes you relaxed when you are in this vast purple ocean. However, Provence can also be very lively. There are numerous types of festivals and celebrations which can let you experience local traditions.
I've always lived in crowded and busy city centre for the past years, and that's why I dream of traveling to a peaceful and quiet place like Provence

A big surprise
Last year was a really unlucky year for me. I carelessly lost my mobilephone in the taxi and when I phoned the taxi driver it was already taken by somebody. Because of the concern for my safety, my mum bought me a new one though, she was a bit angry. Only two months later, my ipod touch which was in my pocket was stolen when I was standing at the entrance of the subway station. Again, my parents bought me a new one because I needed to use it as a dictionary to look up new words.
However, my bad luck didn't end. I went to my sister's home to see her new-born baby three weeks before my birthday. Before I arrived at my sister's home, I went to the convenience store to buy some snack food for their daughter, but again my cellphone was taken away when I was lining up in front of the cashier. What even worse was that I didn't realize my phone was stolen until I went back to my home. When I found it wasn't there in my pocket, I phoned my mobilephone which was already shut down by someone else as quickly as I can. This really made my parents annoyed, especially my dad. That was the time when my parents were thinking of sending me abroad, and the biggest concern my dad had was my safety. My lost phones and ipod touch made my parents really worried about me because of my carelessness. Therefore, they decided to not to buy me a new phone as a way of punishment.
However., 3 weeks later, when I came back home from school, my dad led me to my room. I was surprise to see a new cellphone placed on the desk in a lovely box. I asked my dad with a unbelievable tone:' You said that you won't buy me a new phone until I'm not such incautious.''But today is your birthday which is different for you and for us.' answered my dad.
The new cellphone I received last year is the most surprising birthday gift I've ever had. Not because I want a new one, but because of my dad's reply when I asked him why he bought me a cellphone. Although last year was a really unlucky and tough year for me I still got a big surprise by the end of the year.

Reading
My mom loves reading, so she taught me how to read in my first language. There are a varitey of books on our bookshelf including fiction and non-fiction. For me, fiction especially the adventure novels are more appealing. I can experience lots of different things which won't occure in reality by reading novels. For example, there is no school of magic like Hogwarts in real life, but there is in the book Harry Potter.
However, there are still some difficulties when I'm reading a book. For me, it's easy to start reading a book but it's hard to finish reading a book.
The library here is big and well-furnished with various genres of books, video and music and even video games. There are comfortable sofas, desk for studing and computers for searching books. The library here in Victoria us ynlike the library in china. The library in Victoria is not very crowded and is totally free. You don't have to pay to get a library card while in China you have to pay the library monthlyy otherwise the library card will expire.
The book I chose was Harry Potter and the deathly hallows writthen by J.K.Rowling. The reason I chose this book is quite simple. I love watching the movie Harry potter but I 've never read the novel, because I 've watched the movie, it's easier for me to understand the story.
Harry Potter and the deathly hallows is the last book of the whole series. In this book, Harry had his last duel against Lord Voldmort by destroying the seven deathly hallows which contain the spirit of Voldmort. By the end of the story, Harry defeats Voldmort and protects his friends.

The main ingrediants of this dish are fish and pickled cabbage. Oily broth with white fish meat and mint green pickled cabbage decorated with jade green chili, make this dish very fascinating. The dish is usually cooked in a big bronze pot.
the fish meat tastes very spicy and soft; the pickled cabbage tastes very refreshing and sour. Although the broth is oily it tastes very refreshing, delicious and a little bit numb because of the pepper. As being the most common dish in Chinese restaurants, it smells very attractive because of the fresh smell of the fish and pickled cabbage.
Boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili is also a popular homemade dish in China which is one of my mom's best dishes. I can still remember the scene when my mom was cooking this dish in the kitchen. The big bronze pot was put on the fire; it boiled with bubbling sound. The fish meat is cut into pieces and placed on a pan with a sizzleing sound while my mom was standing beside the pot, cutting the pickled cabbage with a clanking sound. The kitchen was filled with the tasty aroma of the dish.
I love eating boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili not only because of its special smell and refreshing mouthfeel, but also because it reminds me of my sweet home and my mom.
